o happy birthday ashley! i just finished reading shopgirl for the 2nd time last weekend. i've been planning on doin a blog post about the book & movie. how weird is it that the actor jason schwartzman is also a musician 4 the band coconut records? it's good music 2.
When I first saw shopgirl I was drawn to the movie because of the music. I was a big fan of Sun Kil Moon and Mark Kozelek (the band Jason goes on tour with) and when I heard them playing in the background of the movie it really got my attention. Then I fell in love with the story, then I got the book and it turned into sort of a little obsession of mine :)
