We lucked up and found some tickets to the show.
They were on Craigslist & they weren't horrendously overpriced.
The show was great.
I saw Ben walking around and I wanted to talk to him so badly,
but I didn't know what to say...
I'm such a puss.
There are two ways it could have gone:
Me: Hi! I'm Ashley! You're so great! I wrote you a letter, did you get my letter? Can I have a hug?!!! :D
Ben: Listen little girl, you're scary
OR
Me: Ba Da Uhhh Umm Ben um uh dabapa hu huh?
Ben: Listen little girl, you're scary
Either way it wouldn't have gone well...
I did get some great pictures though!
Zach said that people were getting mad because I was taking pictures.
Some people are so lame.
I took like 10 pictures tops!

Social Distortion was really good too,
I didn't think I would know as many songs as I did.
It was a great night!
Awesome photos! You should of just talked to him! He's really nice. I doubt he would of told you that you're scary. I know how you feel though. When I met Brandon Boyd of Incubus I couldn't even talk to him. I shook his hand and got a photo and that was it! I couldn't speak!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Social Distortion :)
I can't stand when people are annoying and dumb about picture taking at concerts!! I went to a Bright Eyes concert in Portland once and cameras were banned from the building. I, of course, had to sneak mine in, and they took it from me!! Luckily it was only a disposable, but seriously...what if it would have been my real camera?
ReplyDeleteAnyway!! I'm glad you got some good pictures. I had never heard of this band before reading your about me, and I listened to the song "My Best Girl" and I loveee it. =]
Hey, you made it to the concert after all! Great! :) Why would people get annoyed by someone taking pictures? I don't get it; it's your favorite band, of course you're gonna take pictures! When I saw Travis in California, the security guards grabbed the people who wouldn't stop taking pics by their arm and removed the memory stick or the batteries, so silly.
ReplyDeleteYou should have just told the guy you wanted to hug him and tha you liked their music. That's what I did when I saw Leo Garcia. I delivered all the words without hesitation ... although I felt like a huge dork after that ... and every time I remember that moment, hehe.
omg social distortion! have u seen their really old movie? i think it's called another state of mind. it's a documentary that follows them around like back in the 80's or something. i think they toured w/ black flag. i've been working on playing their songs. super easy 3 chord bad boys.
