I just had one of those days.
I didn't feel like doing much of anything.
I woke up about 1 o'clock
cleaned up around the house
and then laid right back in the bed.
I crocheted and crocheted and crocheted.
Then Zach came home!
BUT he laid down in the bed and went straight to sleep :(
He only got a couple hours of sleep last night after
we came home from Lucero,
so I didn't want to wake him up.
So I laid in bed with him and crocheted some more.
I didn't eat anything with any sort of nutritional value,
my meals consisted of a strawberry milkshake,
birthday cake and cheese.
Maybe that is why I feel so ho hum today.
Even though I really didn't get out of bed,
I still sustained an injury.
While drinking my milkshake
all 55lbs of Rufus jumped up and headbutted my cup.
The straw jammed into the roof of my mouth
immediately filling it with blood.... yuck!
So now I am in a little pain...
but worst of all is that gross
metallic taste of blood left in my mouth.
I did make some progress though,
I completed almost a dozen flowers.

I plan on making a blanket similar to this one
I saw at Anthropologie.

It sells for $200.
It would be crazy to buy it
when I am fully capable of making it myself.
P.S. I loved all your pet stories!
SO SWEET!!! ♥

aww hope roof of your mouth is okay :(
ReplyDeleteanyway I love the blanket, I know you can make it Ashley :D woo hoo
pain in the mouth oww! That blanket is class. Ive been getting those days recently. doesnt help when the sky is the colour of gun metal grey and its raining sideways against the house. I hate darkness. Ive been crochetting snowflakes like a mad bitch. I love the blanket!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Killer straw!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better today.
Your crochet flowers are just lovely! very envious!
It was a productive rest then! Ouch, hope you feel better soon. Straws are weapons! Make sure you eat well today so you can build up strength and make you feel better.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I sneezed last night and when my head went forward I punched myself in the face. I didn't draw any blood but it was embarrassing :) Hope your mouth feels better soon and I cant wait to see your finished blanket.
ReplyDeleteOh hey, your day sounded exactly like mine. Only I seemed to eat those cracker sticks that you dip in the cheese (you know the ones you took to lunch with you when you were little lol) and oreo cakesters. Oh so healthy lol!
ReplyDeleteLittle Sugar Monster♥
great idea to make that blanket! I saw it in anthro and considered doing such a thing myself, but right now I am busy making an afghan.

ReplyDeleteOuch on the straw in your gums...sorry to hear that! I hate the taste of blood in my mouth (wouldn't make too good of a vampire, hehehe)!
Feel better and have a great day!
Oh, Ashley! Hope your injury heals fast! I hate those unpredictable home accidents.
ReplyDeleteI love that blanket but, God, USD200 is too much! There's a girl here in Argentina who's making a quilt with pieces of fabric people from all over the world are sending her. Let me see if I can find a picture ... http://dobleufa.blogspot.com/2010/10/el-noticioso-de-la-colcha.html
Seeing these pics reminded me of this quilt.

Isn't it from Gossip Girl? And kudos on those flowers for the blanket. I am jealous of your mad skills.
ReplyDeleteThat blanket is going to be gorgeous, and you are so, so talented. I can crochet rows, but that is it, and I'm terrible at turning the corners, haha.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a less ho hum of a day today! And thanks for the shout out about Ellie's name. Not gunna lie, I love that show. =]
